Codenamed Mercedes-Benz Places by Binghatti City, the project will take shape in the heart of Dubai’s Meydan area and is set to become the world’s first Mercedes-Benz-branded city, with a monumental investment of AED 30 billion spanning more than 10 million square feet.
However, as vehicles have become more complex, with thousands of interconnected sensors and electronic systems, the landscape has changed. Diagnosing a problem today often requires specialized diagnostic equipment and access to software that only authorized service centers have. This has made warranty claims more complicated, especially as exclusions based on fine print begin to emerge.
A Titan of Trade, The Dubai Auto Market
Another world first is on the horizon, and a closer look reveals a project that prioritizes practicality over luxury. The Dubai Auto Market is a trading hub managed by DP World and is set to be the largest and most advanced of its kind in the world. An area spanning 22 million square feet will be allocated and is reported to house 1,500 showrooms, warehouses, multi-storey parking, vehicle trade, vehicle assembly, an auction house, a technical testing centre, and even an in-house test-drive track. The result? Eight hundred thousand vehicles being handled annually.
The good news continues; the market’s expansive scope also includes retail and F&B offerings, cultural and leisure districts, and hospitality services. This combination of business and pleasure aims to create a vibrant, self-sustaining community for professionals and enthusiasts alike
